As you are a new Stir
user, you need to install
the
core modules then upgrade to the latest version. If asked,
choose <Y>es to overwrite existing files. In this document
C: can of course be D: thru Z:
-
create a folder C:\Stir02\
-
download the
Install file Stirinst.exe
2.7MB (a self-extracting zip file) to C:\Stir02\
-
download the
Upgrade file Stir138.exe
0.49MB (a self-extracting zip file) to C:\Stir02\
-
double click on C:\Stir02\Stirinst.exe and
wait a minute
-
double click on C:\Stir02\install.bat and
read the screen
-
double click on C:\Stir02\stir.exe
-
press <enter> until you reach MainMenu,
<R>eindex/check will run
-
select suitable fonts if
necessary (<H>ousekeeping | <F>onts)
-
choose <F>ile-browsing then Browse/Print 1a thru 1e
-
delete files Stirinst.exe and
Stir138.exe if you wish
