Output Enhancement Barcodes

Output Enhancement (formerly Emtex VDE) is used in many cases to put mailing and address barcodes on documents prior to printing.  Occasionally, the requirement is to interpret an existing barcode to extract the INSERT information prior to deleting and replacing the barcode.  This extract process is tricky and different for each job; OMR marks require a TEST for each position to determine whether it is "______" or not.

Output Enhancement 1.0 introduces a new command EXTRACT BARCODEDATA, which extracts the contents of one or more barcodes into an array variable.  Additional information about the barcodes, such as the symbologies used, rotation and position can also be obtained.

EXTRACT OMR extracts OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) data, returning a string of "0" and "1" values representing "no mark" and "mark" respectively.

These two new commands provide a consistent way for existing barcode and OMR data to be extracted within your Output Enhancement program.
