Get ready for QR codes with Emtex
QR codes are hot! You’ve probably noticed those square blocks of little black and white squares adorning all sorts of advertising spots. QR codes send your mobile device to a website when scanned with QR software. This can put your customers right on the BUY page of your website, just by waving their phone or tablet over some advertising, be it a magazine, store window banner, billboard etc.
QR functionality is expected to be released with Emtex’ Output Manager 1.2 first quarter 2012. Beta QR code has been tested extensively in Australia and deemed “ready for production”. Being able to put variable QR codes on every document means your customers can scan and be sent to their own statement web page, for example.
QR codes will be available as part of the Emtex Output Enhancement module’s BARCODE action, which already supports other types of 2D MATRIX barcodes.
