OverviewBARR/Web Interface allows users of the Barr Enterprise Print Server (BEPS) to access the server's U.I. remotely, enabling them to monitor printers in their print centre from the comfort of their office. In addition, users can view text in the print files, pause, cancel and redirect print jobs to different printers and reprioritize jobs in the queue based on routing criteria. The Web Interface is completely customizable, allowing you to view only the specific column headers and printers that you require. You also have the added security feature of maintaining control over which printers a particular user is able to view from their workstation. In addition, the U.I. for the Web Interface is virtually identical in look and feel to the existing BEPS Spool Window, which means you don't need to train any of your current users on how to operate it. The Web Interface is a bridge between java based clients and one or more BEPS installations. The web service is installed on a separate computer, along with .NET CLR and IIS. The Web Service computer will also host any ASP.NET pages used for configuration, configuration files, html pages used to launch the applets and the JAR file containing the applets. TCP/IP connections are used to link the Web Interface to each BEPS site. Clients log on and change data by calling the Web Service methods using the Java applets. Features & Benefits
