Barr to add OS support to BEPS
Barr have confirmed current OS compatibility, including Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2, will be added to Barr Enterprise Print Server (BEPS). Barr have announced that they are moving development resources across to the BEPS product, with the goal of enabling BEPS to run on these OS.
At this stage, this will NOT involve any Barr hardware such as SDLC, channel-in and channel-out boards, which will continue to only work on the older OS versions.
As part of doing this work, Barr are upgrading their development platform to the latest Visual Studio version, so it will take a little time to migrate all the projects and make sure everything compiles correctly.
